Typical jobs: warehouse (fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station), package handling
Good to know: Search results were almost all 'does Amazon hire felons' SEO pages, so none were used as evidence. Delivery van drivers usually work for separate Delivery Service Partner companies, not Amazon directly.

Jobs they often hire for: entry-level and skilled positions (check their careers page)
Good to know: Search results were almost all 'does Amazon hire felons' SEO pages, so none were used as evidence. Delivery van drivers usually work for separate Delivery Service Partner companies, not Amazon directly.
What to bring
- State ID or driver's license
- Social Security card (or other I-9 document)
- 3 copies of your resume
- A list of 3 references with phone numbers
- A pen and this sheet
- The Federal Bonding info below, in case they worry about hiring someone with a record
What to wear
Neat and clean. When in doubt, one step nicer than the job.
Questions they may ask
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why do you want to work here?
- Do you have a criminal record? Tell me about it.
- Why is there a gap in your work history?
- When can you start?
When they ask about your record
"Yes. In [year] I was convicted of [offense in plain words]. I took responsibility and served my time. While I was there I [class, certification, job, or recovery work]. Since then I have [what you have done]. I am ready to work, and I am covered by the free Federal Bonding Program for my first six months."
Keep it under 30 seconds, be honest, and bring it back to the job. If your record was expunged, you may answer about the expunged part as if it never happened.
Questions to ask them
- What would make someone great in this job?
- What are the next steps, and when should I follow up?
Federal Bonding Program (free for the employer)
Insures the employer against theft or dishonesty for your first 6 months, $5,000 to $25,000, at no cost and no deductible. Indiana coordinator: 317-232-3623 · Fbonding@dwd.in.gov
After the interview
- Thank them before you leave, and ask when you should follow up.
- Call or email a thank-you within 24 hours.
- Tell us how it went: admin@brokenchampions.com. Your report helps the next person.
